Gentle, but not soft. was created as a commission to welcome a baby girl into the world—a celebration of both the tenderness of her beginning and the strength of the person she may become.

Born during jacaranda season, the work draws from the soft lilac and violet hues that transform Mexico City each spring. This palette becomes a reflection of arrival, renewal, and the fleeting beauty of new life.

Her Pisces water sign introduces another layer to the work: water as intuition, sensitivity, movement, and life force. Here, softness is not presented as fragility, but as a form of strength.
